Toad in the Hole



  • 100grs flour
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 medium egg
  • 300 ml milk
  • 6 sausages


Heat oven to 220 degrees

Make your batter
100grs flour
Pinch salt
1 med egg
300 ml milk

Consistency should be like single cream

6 sausages lightly cooked
Place in an ovenproof dish

Pour batter over them and cook for approx 30 mins

The dish in the picture was done with half the quantity as it was for a single serving.

Can be served on its own, with salad or mashed potatoes
