Rock Buns

Ingredients

  • 12oz Self Raising Flour
  • A pinch of Salt
  • 1/4 Tsp mixed spiced
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 6oz Margarine
  • 6oz Sugar
  • 3oz Raisins or Currants
  • 1 Egg
  • 3 oz Desiccated Coconut
  • Milk

Method

Preheat oven to 200 C.

1. Stir the flour, salt and spices and rub in the margarine.

2. Add the sugar, fruit and coconut and mix with the beaten egg and milk to bind.

3. Using a spoon and fork place the mixture, in spooned heaps, onto a greased baking sheet and oven for 20 minutes at 200 C.
