Lentil Stew

  • 1 packet lentils,
  • 1 large onion,
  • 4 cloves garlic,
  • 1 green or red pepper,
  • small piece of chopped pumpkin,
  • 1 large potato,
  • 1 teaspoon paprika,
  • 3 skinned tomatoes
  • a tin tomate triturado,
  • 1 piece of chorizo
  • 1 of morcilla,
  • 1 bayleaf
  • 1 large carrot
  • a little vinegar (optional)
  • a little olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper


Put the lentils in a bowl of water as directed. Lightly fry the onion, pepper and garlic then add the rest of chopped ingredients, bring to the boil and simmer until tender. I always add a little vinegar to the stew (optional)
