Creamy Moist Chocolate Cake



  • 300g soft butter
  • 300 g castor sugar
  • 125g raising flour.
  • 75g Cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking flour
  • 5 large eggs.


1. Mix sugar and butter in a large bowl and beat together.

2. Add one egg at a time to the mixture and beat together once more.

3. Add flour, baking powder and cocoa powder.

4. Pour into your cake dish and bake at 180C. The cake should take from twenty or so minutes, but make sure to check it is read by poking your cake with a clean knife. If the knife comes out clean then you know your cake is ready to be removed from the oven.

For the icing you can spread some chocolate spread over your cake to decorate .
